Integrated management of solid waste and recycling economy in respect of the environment

The overall objective of the project is to improve the solid waste management system, mainly taking into account climate aspects. The project will be developed at the national level where the ministries are involved, and at the local level in 3 partner municipalities Himara, Peqini and Rrogozhina.

The components of the project are:

• Improve harmonization and coordination between sector actors at national level and between national and local levels.
• Strengthening the capacities of waste authorities and the private sector in partner municipalities for the introduction of integrated waste management and recycling.
• Supporting stakeholders in partner municipalities to improve public participation in the reformed waste management system
