Creation of the environmental management and monitoring system in line with global reporting

The main objective of this project is to address the need for an integrated environmental monitoring system in all relevant government institutions and that uses international monitoring standards for data collection, analysis, and data-based policy making. The project will improve the existing technical and institutional capacities in Albania to monitor and report on the conventions of Rio – CBD, UNCCD, UNFCCC.

The components of the project are:

• Component 1- Addressing an institutional and IT solution for an Integrated Environmental Information Monitoring and Management System (EIMMS).
• Component 2- Updating indicators, database and targets.
• Component 3- Capacity building for the use and management of the information system.
