Project objective: To support the country’s sustainable development through better environmental and climate requirements and management by enabling state institutions to develop, implement and enforce EU environmental and climate legislation standards.

The components of the project are:

• Component A: Increasing the effectiveness of the environment and climate change strategy through the design and implementation of the sectoral plan and the transposition and implementation of priority acts of European legislation on the environment and climate change.
• Component B: Improving the inspection, enforcement and prosecution of violations of environmental and climate change legislation.
• Component C: Improving the management of the environment and climate change by the National Environment Agency at the central and local level.
