From Riyadh, where she is participating in the high-level meeting of ministers and world leaders of the tourism sector on the occasion of World Tourism Day, Minister Mirela Kumbaro said that she is proud that Albania, thanks to tourist flows and international promotion, is recognized globally as a growing destination with a positive image.

Minister Kumbaro confirmed that next spring Albania will be the organizer of the International Tourism Convention “FESTA 2”, with the participation of more than 40 ministers and senior representatives of this sector, an event during which the meeting of the European Commission will also be held. of the World Tourism Organization, for the first time in our country.

“Albania is in the center not only for us Albanians, but it is a small country with a positive model, as we are all trying to create together, the private and public sector. During her stay in Riyadh, at the conference organized by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Minister Kumbaro had bilateral meetings with the Secretary General of this organization, Zurab Pololikashvili, with the President of the World Tourism and Travel Organization, as well as meetings with the ministers of Turkey’s Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Israel’s Haim Katz, Croatia’s Tourism Minister Nikolina Brnjac, Jordan’s Tourism Minister Makram Mustafa Queisi and Malta’s Clayton Bartolo.
