Prespa Reserve Biosphere (II)

Duration: 2017 – 2020

The objective of the project is to reduce the pressure on natural resources as well as reduce poverty in the Albanian part of the Presp Biosphere Reserve. This objective will contribute to the preservation of biodiversity and the improvement of the living conditions of the population in the PNP and in the Albanian part of the Biosphere Reserve.

The components of the project are:

• The start of the Biosphere Reserve activity approved by UNESCO;
• Consolidation of social – economic activities;
• Improving the protection of biodiversity assets in the Prespa National Park;
• Taking measures to alleviate the pressure and mitigate the indiscriminate use of land in the Prespa National Park;
