The increase of foreign investments is a key objective for the economic development of the country and a strategic priority of the government. The importance of foreign investments is very important and the performance of investments affects the economic and social progress of the country. FDI brings the necessary capital, increases the productivity of the economy and among others through the transfer of knowledge and technology, affects the opening of new markets for trade, as well as increases the competitiveness of the economy, affects the reduction of the current account deficit, increases employment and above all, they affect the well-being of the population. The strategy states that PPP through concession contracts has proven to be a successful mechanism in attracting foreign investments, especially in the mining and energy sector, and foresees that this policy will be extended to other sectors and efforts will be made to encourage best practices in corporate social responsibility-CSR, in extractive industries (oil, mining, cement and electricity), to create a management-friendly environment acceptable to the local community.
